What changed in Saksi

Dated notes on the website and on each pre-release build of the app. Saksi is not on Google Play yet, so app notes describe test builds.

    Website and docs

    • First version of getsaksi.com and the help docs at docs.getsaksi.com.
    • Both are ready for 8 languages: English, Bahasa Indonesia, Español, Português (Brasil), Français, Deutsch, हिन्दी and العربية. Translations are being added.
    • First guides on notification history for Android, WhatsApp and Telegram.
    • A public roadmap that separates what works today from what is planned.

    New pre-release build in testing

    • A Caption edited label for proven edits to the text on a photo or video.
    • Simpler Media filters: one row for saved and unavailable files, one for file types.
    • An archive overview in Archive & Storage with your history window, storage used and oldest record.
    • Saksi Notices: short tips inside the app, including how Do Not Disturb can silence alerts.
    • Built-in Help now opens at the top every time.
    • A more consistent look in light and dark themes.

    Capture accepted in owner testing

    • Saving notifications, edit labels, possible deletions and alerts were accepted as working in owner testing.
    • Tested on an OPPO phone with Android 16.

    More reliable capture

    • Capture status in Capture & Apps shows whether Saksi is connected and when it last saw WhatsApp or Telegram notifications.
    • Telegram channels no longer show old posts as new after a reconnect.
    • A photo caption that only looks different in the notification no longer shows up as Updated.

    Alerts inbox

    • Every alert is kept in the Alerts inbox inside the app, even when Android hides the notification.
    • Alerts for different messages no longer replace each other.
    • Alerts for edits and possible deletions start on, and each type can be turned off in Message alerts.

    8 languages and receipts

    • The app now comes in 8 languages, with its own language setting and a right-to-left layout for Arabic.
    • Share a saved message as a receipt image or text, with options to hide names, the message text or chosen words.
    • The Media tab shows saved files, and says clearly when a file could not be saved.
    • Delete all data erases Saksi's data on the phone and pauses capture until you tap Resume capture.
